Corrupted character? Stuck progression bug? Or someone just wants the fresh-start experience? You can wipe one player's save without touching the world or anyone else's grind.
Find the player's save file
Each player has their own .sav file on the server:
Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/<WorldFolder>/Players/
Files are named by player ID (a long hex string), not by name. To identify the right one:
- Have the player join the server, then check the file with the newest modified timestamp in the panel file manager: that's them.
- Alternatively, run
/ShowPlayersin the console while they're online to note their ID, which matches the filename.
Reset the player
- Ask the player to log out, then stop the server from the Game Panel.
- Take a backup first (Backups tab): deleting the wrong file resets the wrong player.
- Delete (or better, rename to
.sav.bak) the player's file in thePlayers/folder. - Start the server. The player joins as a brand-new character; the world, bases and everyone else are untouched.
Good to know
- Their guild and bases: structures owned solely by the reset player's guild may become orphaned. If they shared a guild with others, the guild survives.
- Pals in their party are lost with the character; Pals in shared base boxes remain.
- Renaming instead of deleting means you can undo the reset by restoring the file.
