How to Reset Your Password and Regain Account Access

Account & Billing · 3 min read · ThundraNode Support

Reset your password from the billing page at thundranode.com/billing using "forgot password". That covers both your billing account and panel login. Check the email tied to your original order for the reset link. If self-service doesn't work, contact support from your registered email and they'll verify your identity and reset it manually.

Symptoms

  • "Forgot password" link doesn't send an email, or the email never arrives
  • A password support sent you doesn't work when you try to log in
  • You're locked out after a friend, co-admin, or moderator had your credentials
  • You can't remember which email or username the account was created under

Why this happens

Most lockouts come down to one of two things: the reset email is going to a different inbox than you expect (often the one used at signup, not your current one), or you're mixing up credentials. Support sometimes sends a new password by email. If you try logging in with your old signup code or an earlier temporary password instead of that new one, it will fail every time. The two are not interchangeable.

The other common cause is trust, not tech: sharing your panel password with a friend or moderator so they can help manage the server. If that person uses it to grant themselves operator rights or lock you out, that's an account compromise, not a bug.

How to fix it

  1. Go to thundranode.com/billing and use the password reset option there: this covers your billing and panel login.
  2. Check the inbox for the email address you used when you originally ordered the server, including spam/junk folders, for the reset link or a temporary password.
  3. If you receive a new password directly from support, use that exact string. Do not fall back to an older signup code or UUID: that's the old credential, not the current one.
  4. Once logged in, go to Account in the sidebar to set a fresh password and turn on two-factor authentication.
  5. If you shared your password with someone else and suspect misuse, change your password right away, then check Player Manager to remove any operator or admin status you didn't grant.
  6. If self-service reset fails or the email never arrives, contact support from your account's registered email address: they'll verify your identity and reset it manually.

Never share your panel password, even with a trusted co-admin. Use Player Manager to grant in-game permissions instead. It keeps full account control with you.

Still stuck?

If you've tried the reset flow and still can't get in, or your server was cancelled and you're trying to recover it, contact support directly from your registered email. They can verify ownership and sort out access or explain your options for a cancelled server. For related account tasks, see how to find or change your server address, how to cancel or request a refund, how to upgrade or downgrade your plan, or how to give yourself operator permissions the safe way once you're back in.
