Your server's connection address always shows as IP:PORT directly under the server name at the top of the panel, and again in the Dashboard's Server Info panel under Hostname. That's the exact string to paste into Minecraft. The IP itself can't be changed since it's tied to the node, but a free custom subdomain or a port change can usually solve the reason you wanted a new one.
Symptoms
- Can't find the address to give friends
- Bedrock client says the address is "not correctly formatted"
- Want to hide your server after an IP leak/raid
- Shared IP stopped working and you need a new port
Why this happens
The Dashboard displays three identifiers: Hostname (your connect address, IP:PORT), Node ID, and Server ID. Players only ever need the Hostname. Confusion usually comes from one of a few places: Bedrock players trying to enter IP and port together in one field instead of using Direct Connection mode's separate IP/port slots, or Java players assuming the IP can be edited like a setting when it's actually fixed to your node. Ports can also collide on shared IPs, which is a support-side fix, not something you change yourself.
How to fix it
- To find your address: Open your server and look under the server name at the top, or open Dashboard and read the Hostname field: it's already in IP:PORT form.
- To connect on Java: Copy the full IP:PORT string exactly as shown and paste it into the multiplayer server address box. See how to connect to your Minecraft server for the full flow.
- To connect on Bedrock: Use Direct Connection mode and enter the IP and port in their separate fields: don't include a colon-port suffix in the IP field. Full walkthrough here: how to connect to your Bedrock server.
- If you want a friendlier address: The raw IP can't be changed, but you can request a free custom subdomain (e.g.
yourname.thundra.xyz): open a support ticket with your preferred name. Propagation typically takes 1 to 24 hours. For a domain you fully control, see using a custom domain / SRV record. - If your address was leaked or you were raided: Ask support for both a new subdomain and a port change: changing the domain alone doesn't hide the underlying IP, so request the port swap too for real privacy.
- If a shared port stopped working: Open a ticket describing the issue; staff can reassign you to a working IP:port combination on the shared pool, or point you to Additional Ports if you need an extra port allocated (for example, a Bedrock/Geyser port).
Always copy the address exactly as shown in the panel. Don't guess at ports, and never merge IP and port into one field on Bedrock's Direct Connection screen.
Still stuck?
If your Hostname field looks wrong, your address isn't connecting after a version or platform change, or you need a dedicated IP, open a ticket with your Server ID from the Dashboard so support can check it directly.
