Geyser Crossplay Not Working: Bedrock Players Cannot Connect

Nine times out of ten this is not a broken server. It is the address being typed in wrong.

Check that first, then work down the list.

Start here: the address

Your Dashboard shows one combined address:

173.214.166.150:25842

Minecraft Bedrock will not accept it like that. The Add Server screen has two separate boxes:

Server Address:  173.214.166.150
Port:            25842

The IP goes in the first box on its own, with no colon and no port. The number after the colon goes in the second box.

The classic mistake is pasting the whole 173.214.166.150:25842 into Server Address, then typing a different number such as 19132 into Port. That will never connect, no matter how well the server is set up. Ask your friend to send you a screenshot of what they typed. It is usually this.

Your Bedrock port is the same as your Java port, because the panel copies it across when you install crossplay. If someone tells you Bedrock needs a different port, that is not true here.

Other things to check

"You need a Java account"

Floodgate is missing. Open Enable Cross Play, make sure Include Floodgate is switched on, click Install again, and restart.

Nothing works since you changed the server version

Console players cannot type an address

Xbox, PlayStation and Switch do not let you enter one at all. They need a separate app. See how to join on console.

Duplicate plugins

If Geyser was installed more than once, or an old updater plugin is still sitting there, connections can fail silently. Open Files or Plugin Installer and remove any duplicates, then restart.

Wrong server type

Crossplay needs Paper or Fabric. It will not work on Forge. Check Server Type.

Still stuck?

Restart the server after any change, since Geyser only reloads its settings on boot.

If the address is definitely right, Floodgate is on, and players still cannot join, open a ticket through the Support center link at the top of the panel. Send us the exact error your friend sees and a screenshot of what they typed, and we will check the server directly.
