How to Install Steam Workshop Mods

Age of Calamitous? Emberlight? Thousands of Workshop mods can transform the Exiled Lands, and the panel installs them for you.

Install mods on the server

1. Open your server in the Game Panel.
2. Go to the Mods tab.
3. Search the Steam Workshop for the mod you want and click Install: or paste the mod's Workshop URL/ID.
4. Arrange the mod load order if the mods require it (many mods document their required position).
5. Restart the server.

Install the same mods on your client

Your game must run the same mods in the same order:

1. Subscribe to the same mods on the Steam Workshop.
2. Launch Conan Exiles: in the main menu, open Mods.
3. Move the mods to the active list and match the server's order.
4. Restart the game when prompted.

When you join, if the mod lists match, you'll go straight in. A mod mismatch popup means a mod is missing, outdated or in a different order.

Good to know

• Load order matters. Mods that patch the same content must load in the documented order on both server and client.
• After mod updates, restart the server so it downloads the new version, then let Steam update your client mods before joining.
• Big mod lists increase loading time and memory use: if the server struggles, consider a plan with more RAM.
