How to Change Server Settings (Rates, PvP, Raiding)

Conan Exiles · 1 min read · ThundraNode Support

Triple harvest rates? Raiding only on weekends? Brutal full-loot PvP or a peaceful build server? Conan is endlessly tunable, here's where the dials live.

The easy way: in-game as admin

  1. Become admin on your server.
  2. Open EscSettingsServer Settings.
  3. Change settings live: most apply immediately without a restart.

The panel way: Server Properties

  1. Stop the server in the Game Panel.
  2. Open the Server Properties tab, change what you need and save.
  3. Start the server.

The raw file behind it is ConanSandbox/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ServerSettings.ini, editable from the Files tab if you prefer.

Settings people ask about most

  • HarvestAmountMultiplier: resource yield (e.g. 3.0 for 3x)
  • PlayerXPRateMultiplier: XP rate
  • PVPEnabled: True or False
  • CanDamagePlayerOwnedStructures: building damage (raiding) on/off
  • RestrictPVPBuildingDamageTime: limit raiding to set hours
  • DayCycleSpeedScale: day length
  • ThrallConversionMultiplier: thrall breaking speed
  • StaminaCostMultiplier: stamina drain

Settings changed in-game as admin are written to the same file, pick whichever workflow you prefer, just don't edit the file while the server is running.
